Growing up on a farm, I am reminded everyday about all the changes that have taken place on farms since the early 1900s. As I was recalling all the stories from relatives, I decided it was time to document some of those memories.
The blues show our beautiful sky, the yellows represents the grains on the prairies and the brown around all the photos represents the soil. This quilt ripples like our windy days of summer.
Unique binding methods, machine piecing & quilting, printed photos, and hand embroidery (binding).
